Arekuruukaze Collage

Working at the school this summer is giving me ample time to play around on photoshop. I'm putting out almost 2 or 3 works a week at this rate. To quote a mega-evil fast food chain: "I'm lovin' it."

Arekuruukaze: Keino's Zanpakutou (Soul Slayver for you laymens).

Sealed: Arekuruukaze's normal state, a simple katana. Nothing special.

Shikai: "Hitofuki, Arekuruukaze!"- Blow Them Away, Ravenous Wind!
The first released state of the Zanpakutou and personally, my favorite shikai of any Zanpakutou, canon or OC. It's an oversized oriental-style fan, about 7ft across unfolded. When not unfurled, it's defult setting is to remain closed, the 'lids' of the fan sports razor-sharp edges. The whole contraction is bound to Keino via a metal circlet that he slips her wrist through.

The final state of Keino's Zanpakutou, which he currently has not obtained. In keeping with the "Fan" then, I went with a Shaolin Spade, and going with the "Oversized" theme, it is also 7 feet wide and made for some serious smashin'.

Roughly 4 hours in Photoshop CS2 using only the line, shape and brush tools.
